This nursing leadership intensive will provide Directors of Nursing, nurse managers and nursing staff in the post-acute care environment with education on how to prioritize, delegate, and promote critical thinking and effective decision making as a nurse leader.  Nurse participants will have the opportunity to analyze reports and consider case studies to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic plans to assure quality and improvements for optimal resident outcomes.  Nurse participants will be empowered with the tools and resources needed to be successful nursing leaders and managers and will come away with increased confidence and improved job performance and personal satisfaction.  Nurse participants will also have the opportunity to earn up to 21 nurse continuing education contact hours over the course of 4-days.  This intensive boot camp is designed for long-term care/post-acute care Directors of Nursing, Assistant Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, RNs, LPNs with beginning to intermediate levels of expertise or for advanced nurses who may need a “refresher.”  To register now, click here or submit the attached registration form!

 

 


 

 

MI-NADONA/LTC Infection Preventionist Board Certification Review Course:  This IP-BC Certification Meets New CMS & CDC Requirements!

The Michigan Chapter NADONA/LTC in partnership with HCAM, exclusive educational event manager for MI-NADONA/LTC, will be offering the Infection Preventionist Board Certification Review Course for IP-BC Certification for post-acute care and assisted living/senior living clinical professionals to obtain their IP-BC certification.  Completion of this course meets the new CMS requirements for Infection Preventionist training and satisfies DCD guideline requirements as well.   This certification preparation course is facilitated by Dr. J. Hudson Garrett Jr, Chief Clinical Officer, Master Trainer and Editor-in-Chief of The Director, for NADONA/LTC.  All HCAM, MCAL and MI-NADONA/LTC members are strongly encouraged to participate!  Registration will be available within the next few weeks.  This certification preparation course is limited to the first 60 registrants; please contact KistiBoatright@hcam.org should you wish to reserve a seat!
